Systems Approach pilot for Chilean table grapes to Mexico

The quality and flavor of Chilean grapes are reaching new levels, thanks to the fact that Chile and Mexico signed an agreement to eliminate methyl bromide fumigation in Chilean table grape exports, in exchange for other mitigation measures at source. This was reported in August by the Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), together with the Mexican health authority, on the Systems Approach pilot plan. The measure will allow the fruit to arrive in better conditions to the destination country. Based on the great news, Frutas de Chile held a webinar, where not only was the industry informed about the details of the protocol, but recommendations were also given to Chilean producers to successfully reach the Aztec market.
