Lithuanian farmers can now supply Taiwan with wheat, barley, oats, and peas for consumption, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. However, the grain cannot be used for sowing. Exporters are required to provide a phytosanitary certificate with the necessary details. Linas Agro, a Lithuanian grain trading company, is willing to cooperate with Taiwan, despite Taiwan potentially finding it cheaper to import grain from Australia. The Association of Lithuanian Grain Processing and Trade Enterprises sees these new export opportunities as a positive development.
