[Korea Fisheries News Reporter Young-jin Choi] The Fisheries Resources Agency of Korea (FIRA) released 77,000 sea cucumber seeds and 10,000 largemouth bass larvae. The release of sea cucumber seeds, which took place on the 22nd, was conducted in the waters near Sinsudo in Sacheon City, and was carried out for the creation of a small-scale sea ranching business in Sacheon City, Gyeongnam. Sea cucumbers are a representative environmental purification organism that improves the seabed environment by ingesting organic matter in the coastal ecosystem. The waters near Sinsudo also have conditions favorable for the stable settlement and growth of sea cucumbers as they are linked to the creation of a sea forest. Prior to this, on the 20th, 10,000 largemouth bass larvae were released in the waters of Goseong County, Gangwon Province, using underwater drones.
