The Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT) of Mexico has reported a 4.76% increase in tequila production in the first five months of 2020, with a total production of 156 million liters, up from 149 million liters during the same period last year. The industry also saw an increase in exports, with 106.9 million liters sold compared to 100.7 million liters in the same period last year. The United States is the top consumer of Mexican tequila, accounting for 86.6% of total exports.
