The Vietnamese coffee industry has seen a significant boost in the UK market, with the average export price per ton increasing by 68.4% compared to the previous year, reaching 3,941 USD. In the first half of 2024, Vietnam exported 16.54 thousand tons of coffee to the UK, valued at 65.2 million USD, marking a 29.9% increase in value despite a 22.8% decrease in output. However, the market share of Vietnamese coffee in the UK has decreased from 22.8% to 16.27% due to strong competition from Brazil, which has increased its volume and value significantly. This poses a challenge for Vietnamese exporters to maintain and increase their market share, requiring efforts to improve quality, promote their products, and expand consumption.
