The business community in Mersin has set its sights on investment opportunities in Eastern Anatolia.

The Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO) recently hosted a delegation from the Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) after visits to Malatya, Elazığ, and Tunceli. During the meeting, where Şırnak's investment potential was discussed, potential joint projects between the two provinces were evaluated. The delegation, chaired by Şırnak TSO Board President Osman Geliş and Assembly President Zekeriya Ökten, presented the investment opportunities in the region during the meeting held at MTSO. The meeting included a presentation on Şırnak's agricultural and livestock capacity, the planned Greenhouse Organized Agricultural Zone in Silopi, and the Mixed Organized Industrial Zone projects planned near the Habur Border Gate.
