The Egyptian Cabinet, led by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, has set the indicative prices for sugar crops for the 2025 season at 2,500 pounds per ton for sugar cane and 2,400 pounds per ton for sugar beets. This decision aims to encourage farmers to cultivate these crops, increase their productivity, meet the local market's needs for sugar, reduce import costs, conserve foreign currency, boost farmers' income, and maximize factory operation.
