Egypt: The Chamber of Food Industries discusses the challenges of the feed sector

The Food Industries Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries held an expanded meeting of stakeholders related to the feed sector to discuss the challenges facing the feed sector and the current status of this industry. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, with the participation of a number of government agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Industrial Development and a number of feed factories and poultry breeders who are members of the Chamber. During the meeting, experts discussed proposed solutions to confront these challenges, most notably expanding the cultivation of fodder crops and examining the use of non-traditional fodder plants, in addition to feed alternatives from agricultural waste and food processing.
