The Ukrainian Potato Producers Association, led by Mykola Hordiychuk and Agrico Ukraine, has highlighted a significant gap in storage capacity for potatoes, with a shortfall of 1.1 million tons. Currently, facilities are available for only 300 thousand tons. This deficiency is impeding the growth of the industry, particularly amidst war conditions. The association is advocating for financial support from international partners to bridge this gap. They mentioned the crucial role played by the USAID Agro program and RVO in providing support to the sector.
