The development of Vietnam's tilapia industry is accelerating and will compete with China.

Data shows that in the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam's tilapia export value reached $57.3 million, a year-on-year surge of 332%, marking the highest level in nearly five years. In August alone, exports approached $10 million, with the U.S. remaining the primary market, accounting for over 60%. Thanks to domestic policy support and the flexibility of enterprises in transforming, Vietnamese aquatic enterprises have rapidly expanded production and seized orders in the midst of global market fluctuations, achieving a "counter-trend breakthrough."
