The European Union has extended the suspension of import duties and quotas for Moldovan exports for another year, helping Moldovan producers to continue competing in the large European market without duties or quantitative restrictions. This temporary liberalization of trade has led to a significant increase in Moldovan exports to the EU, with grapes, apples, plums, and cherries seeing the most significant increase. The autonomous EU trade measures for Moldova will be in effect from July 25, 2024, to July 24, 2025.
