The European Union's food trade value reached 183.8 billion euros from January to July, marking a 3.2% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth is largely due to a rise in exports to the United States and China, with the largest increases in wine, spirits, chocolate, confectionery, grain, and wine. However, exports to the UK saw a significant decrease of 411 million euros. There was also a decline in exports of wheat, baby food, butter, vegetables, powdered milk, and whey. The largest increase in imports was seen in soybeans, with notable increases in agricultural goods from Brazil, Australia, India, Serbia, and Argentina.
