China: The European Commission has approved three genetically modified corns and one genetically modified cotton for use as food and feed

Two genetically modified (GM) crops, GM corn and GM cotton, have been approved by the European Union for use in food and feed, excluding planting, following safety assessments by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The authorization is valid for a period of 10 years, during which strict EU labeling and traceability rules must be adhered to.
