The Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA), dependent on the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, has published the revised provisional unit amounts for the first payment of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) subsidies, corresponding to the eco-schemes for 2025. FEGA divides the amounts into two tranches and takes into account whether the area covered by the eco-schemes—which provide aid for agricultural and livestock practices in favor of the climate and the environment—is located in mainland and island territory. The highest amount corresponds to producers who have adopted the eco-scheme "Carbon agriculture: plant covers and inert covers in woody crops on steeply sloping land and terraces," which can reach 273.39 euros per hectare, according to the document published by FEGA on its website.
