On December 23, 832 kilograms of fresh avocados departed from the outbound fruit packaging factory in Longling County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, and were exported to Malaysia via a combination of land and air transportation. A representative from Yunnan Bafang Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd. introduced that the company previously supplied mainly to the domestic market. After learning about the market potential in Southeast Asian countries, they successfully exported avocados to Singapore last year and to Malaysia this year, thereby expanding their overseas sales channels. Currently, Bafang Agricultural's avocados have obtained GAP (GlobalGAP) certification, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification, and ISO22000 (Food Safety Management System) certification, with a premium fruit rate consistently maintained above 80%. As of 2024, the base covers a planting area of 2337 acres, with a yield of over 300 tons. Mengno Township in Longling County is located in the dry and hot river valley of the Nujiang River, with an average annual temperature of 21.6 degrees Celsius, small annual temperature differences, large day-night temperature differences, and abundant rainfall, providing excellent natural conditions for the cultivation of "light-loving and cold-intolerant" avocados. Since the beginning of the 21st century, Baoshan has successfully cultivated avocados, and currently, it has established standardized planting bases covering over 5000 acres, constructing an integrated industrial system that includes seedling cultivation, planting, processing, and sales.
