Recently, under the supervision of customs officers from the Dalian Customs' Dajiaowan Customs, 3.97 tons of fresh jackfruit imported from Indonesia successfully cleared customs. This marks the first time that fresh jackfruit has been imported into the Northeast region via sea container.
"Fresh jackfruit has a relatively high demand for transportation and customs clearance timeliness. After understanding our needs, the customs arranged for business experts to provide 'one-on-one' guidance for the declaration, and also opened a 'green channel' for the customs clearance of fresh agricultural food products, which provided an important guarantee for the smooth clearance of the jackfruit," said Gao Yugang, Deputy General Manager of Dalian Port Yiduli Cold Chain Co., Ltd.
To ensure the smooth clearance of the first batch of fresh jackfruit, the Dajiaowan Customs established a working group, set up a "pre-guidance" mechanism, and created a "one-on-one" docking service post, pre-checking the requirements of bilateral agreements, helping enterprises to sort out the customs clearance process, and optimizing the links between document review, on-site inspection, and customs clearance and release. This provided "end-to-end customized services" for enterprises, and on the basis of strengthening the quality and safety defense line for imported food, truly ensured that this batch of fresh fruit was fresh on the tongue and safe in the heart.
"We will continue to improve the 'government, port, enterprise' communication and cooperation mechanism for fresh agricultural products, and enhance the efficiency of the customs clearance of live agricultural products, so that 'fresh on the branch' can more quickly become 'sweet on the tongue'," said Liu Xiaochun, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Business Division of the Dajiaowan Customs.
According to statistics, from January to July this year, the Dajiaowan Customs supervised the import of 364,000 tons of fruit, with a value of 1.8 billion yuan, representing year-on-year increases of 3.73% and 14.65%, respectively. (Dong Chen, Yang Ruixuan, Chen Guanyu, Sun Kai/Text)
