The first shipment of meat products was made to the Republic of the Philippines, following the recent opening of that market to products of bovine, porcine, and avian origin, according to the National Service of Animal Health and Quality (Senacsa). The export consisted of 27 tons of bone-in beef, specifically the tail of the animal. "They have a typical dish there where they use the tail, which is why the export of bone-in meat is important for it to be part of their typical dish," José Carlos Martin, president of the veterinary agency, highlighted to La Nación/Nación Media. With the start of the shipment to this destination, it is the second market to open to exports from our country, after Singapore, within the framework of the strategy to expand national products in the Asian continent.
