The future of Bursa chestnuts was discussed

At the Bursa Chestnut's Future Panel organized by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the production of chestnuts, problems, diseases, and necessary actions were discussed. At the Bursa Chestnut's Future Panel held in the Yıldırım Hall of the Bursa Atatürk Cultural Center Merinos Campus, all aspects of the production to marketing of Bursa chestnuts were covered, problems, opportunities, and solution proposals were brought to the table. In the meeting attended by sector representatives and scientists, producers and participants were informed about chestnut production, pest and disease control methods in the world, Turkey, and Bursa. Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Agriculture Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Cevriye Mert said that Bursa was the first city where chestnut cultivation was done economically.
