The Gangwon Headquarters of the Rural Development Administration hosts the Autumn Academic Conference of the Korean Rural Planning Association.

[Reporter Lee Woo-jung, Korea Rural Farmers Newspaper] The Gangwon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Rural Community Corporation successfully held the 2025 Autumn Academic Conference of the Korea Rural Planning Society on the 21st at the Bears Hotel in Chuncheon, in collaboration with the Korea Rural Planning Society and the Gangwon Research Institute. The theme of the conference was the regional settlement and activation strategy of rural spatial planning. The conference, attended by over 80 experts from academia, local researchers, administration, college students, and graduate students, proceeded with a special seminar, the award ceremony for the 2025 Rural Spatial Planning Paper Competition, and academic conference presentations aimed at exploring strategies for the regional settlement and activation of rural spatial planning. In particular, the special seminar featured a presentation by Research Fellow Park Jae-hyung from the Gangwon Research Institute on region-specific linkage-based rural.
