Argentina has seen a significant increase in goat meat exports, with 424 tons exported between January and October, nearly doubling the previous year's exports of 213.3 tons. The majority of the exports were sent to Sri Lanka, Vietnam, the Bahamas, and Angola, with 32 other markets also open for export. This increase provides a new income source for the goat meat production sector, which is primarily operated by family farmers in Argentina. There are 18 meat processing plants in the country authorized to slaughter and export goat meat, adhering to strict safety standards set by the National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa).
