Ukrainian greenhouse tomato suppliers have completed their sales and are now preparing for the new season, leading to a decrease in market supply and an increase in prices. Despite the high demand, traders have not been able to compensate for the lack of local tomatoes with imported ones. However, prices are twice as high as last year on average, and there is no expected vegetable crop shortage in Ukraine due to the temporary occupation of southern regions. Some forestry enterprises in the Khmelnytskyi region have converted 18 hectares of land for vegetable and berry cultivation, which has increased due to the war, with a portion of the harvest to be used for making dry soups for soldiers.
