In the Kulu district of Konya, the harvest of industrial hemp, cultivated on an area of 15 decares, has begun.
Within the scope of the work carried out under the leadership of the Kulu Anatolian Production and Marketing Cooperative, the hemp grown on the land belonging to Ahmet Öcüt, with the support of Cooperative President Tayyip Öcüt, has reached harvest maturity. The harvest program was attended by Kulu District Agricultural and Forestry Director Fırat Güven, Chamber of Agriculture President Cengiz Öztürk, Cooperative President Tayyip Öcüt, field owner Ahmet Öcüt, local farmers, and citizens. Officials stated that industrial hemp could be considered an alternative crop in the regional agriculture.
