[Rural and Fisheries Industry Newspaper=Reporter Park Hyun-ryul] The Korea Racing Authority held a commemorative event at its headquarters in Gwacheon on the 25th to mark its 76th founding anniversary and to pledge its innovative will for a new leap forward. The commemorative event was attended by officials and employees of the Racing Authority, as well as chairmen of the horse owners' and trainers' associations, representatives of related organizations, and Shin Woo-sik, Director of the Livestock Policy Division at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The Racing Authority began as the Joseon Horse Club in 1922, changed to the Joseon Horse Racing Association in 1942, and was renamed the Korea Racing Authority on September 29, 1949, after liberation. Since its inception, the Racing Authority has contributed to social contribution projects through horse racing revenue, expanding the promotion of equestrianism, and increasing farmers' income, and recently has been focusing on digital
