The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has initiated a project to develop technology for monitoring and early warning of zoonotic diseases, with a focus on brucellosis in livestock. The project, part of the '14th Five-Year Plan' national key research and development plan, is backed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and involves collaboration from Chinese agricultural universities and research institutes. Set in Inner Mongolia, the largest cattle and sheep breeding region in the country, the project aims to enhance scientific research capabilities within epidemic control departments, improving team quality and broadening horizons in the fight against zoonotic diseases.
