A poverty alleviation workshop, invested in by the China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Corporation, has significantly boosted the income of poor households in Yangzhuang Village, Mian County, Shaanxi Province, by cultivating jade fungus. The project has led to the construction of 18 greenhouses and other facilities, employing over 150 poor households, who have seen their annual income rise by more than 1,000 yuan. In 2019, the project resulted in the development of over 200,000 bags of jade fungus and generated labor wages exceeding 160,000 yuan. The workshop has been upgraded to include production of 10 jade fungus and 8 mushroom varieties, increasing agricultural efficiency and providing consistent work throughout the year, leading to higher income for the villagers.
