The Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services releases a manual for using pollinating insects to ensure stable persimmon fruiting.

The Jeonnam Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Kim Haeng-ran) announced on the 14th that it has produced and distributed 300 copies of a manual on using honeybees and bumblebees, which are pollen-pollinating insects, to help ensure stable fruiting of persimmons. This manual was created in the form of a leaflet-style handbook for easy use by farmers and includes information on the types and ecology of pollen-pollinating insects, usage methods, and application examples in farms. The Jeonnam Agricultural Technology Institute expects that this material will help resolve the instability in persimmon fertilization caused by climate change and contribute to improving quality and stabilizing production.
