(Hongseong=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Jun-beom = The Korea Rice Processing Food Association, an affiliated organization under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is moving to Gongju City, South Chungcheong Province.
According to South Chungcheong Province on the 2nd, the Korea Rice Processing Food Association plans to move to a new building being constructed in the Donghyeon district of Gongju City, covering an area of 3,967 square meters, by 2030.
The province expects that after the completion of the building, approximately 1,140 members and 2,000 related personnel will visit Gongju annually for education, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
The number of direct and indirect employment positions is expected to be around 110.
The Korea Rice Processing Food Association is the third organization, following the Korea Food Safety Management Certification Agency and the Livestock Environment Management Institute, to decide to move to the Donghyeon district of Gongju.
The province has signed a business agreement with the Korea Rice Processing Food Association to actively support the relocation.
Kim Tae-heum, the governor of South Chungcheong Province, said, "Chungnam is the optimal location for public institutions with easy access from anywhere in the country and abundant infrastructure," and added, "We will actively support the development of the association."
