The word "abandonment" is not part of the personal vocabulary of the Corrientes producer Marcelo Cabonell, as he himself is a great example of fighting to overcome a serious adversity: in an accident he lost both legs and yet he did not give up, he continued with his activity. But the word "abandonment," sadly, is part of his daily management as a rural leader. He stumbles upon it when he sees that many of the problems of the Corrientes countryside are ignored by politics. Also because many producers in his district fall prey to rural crime and end up "abandoning" their own fields.
