The sixth addendum to the collaboration agreement signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the State-owned Agricultural Infrastructure Company (Seiasa) for the execution of irrigation modernization and consolidation works declared to be of general interest to the State will entail a public investment of 96.8 million euros, as reported by the Official State Gazette (BOE). The addendum provides for the execution of 23 new irrigation modernization works, for which the ministry is contributing 87.5 million euros, as well as various actions included in the third inter-campaign period 2025-2026 of the action plan for the repair of different chapters of infrastructure executed and affected by hidden defects amounting to 9.3 million euros. The new actions contemplated in the addendum, signed last December 9, will be financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) for 83.8 million euros and by the irrigation communities (86.6 million).
