Poland has experienced a significant increase in the volume of vegetables processed in the refrigeration industry, with a 11.7% rise from July to November compared to the previous year, largely due to the HoReCa sector's recovery from quarantine restrictions. Exports of frozen vegetables have also seen a positive trend, with a 9.4% increase in the third quarter of 2021. However, an upcoming ban on imports from Belarus could impact exports, leading to higher prices for Polish vegetables due to lower stocks and increased demand. Additionally, the cost of energy, particularly gas, is expected to contribute to a price increase for sprouted fresh market vegetables.
