Dr. Osama Badir Al-Sayyid Al-Qusair, the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, has announced the resumption of Egyptian onion exports to Saudi Arabia, following successful discussions with his Saudi counterpart, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli. This development comes after technical discussions between the agricultural quarantine authorities of both countries, leading to the restoration of Egyptian onions on the Saudi platform for importing agricultural products. The move is part of Egypt's efforts to bolster its global export system, with over 16 thousand tons of onions already exported to various countries, including Saudi Arabia, since the start of the new harvest season in April.
