The Russian Ministry of Agriculture announced an increase in the production of meat and meat products

Meat farming is one of the most rapidly developing areas in Russian agriculture. This year, the positive dynamics have continued. The production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in agricultural organizations in January-November of this year amounted to 12.5 million tons, which is 3.8% more than in the same period last year. In particular, an increase is observed in cattle (+5.6%), pigs (5.1%), poultry (+2.4%). Such indicators also contribute to the growth of the output of meat processing industry products. In particular, in January-October, the production of sausages (+2.1%), semi-finished meat products (+5.2%) and canned goods (+2.4%) increased. The National Meat Association (NMA) is confident that this year Russia will set another record.
