Turkey: The most fertile fish season in the Black Sea

Black Sea fishermen are experiencing the most fruitful fishing season in the last 30 years. Fishermen who started the season with bonito abundance, then experienced abundance in anchovy and horse mackerel catch, followed by abundance of whiting and grey mullet. Fishermen who returned with nets full of grey mullet on a boat anchored in Faroz Port, said that they experienced the most fruitful season in recent years while trying to clean the grey mullet from the nets. Boat owner Mustafa Yılmaz stated that they caught so many grey mullet for the first time this year and that the grey mullet caught in the nets has reached nearly 2.5 tons so far and said, "We came from Rize to Trabzon and came across grey mullet. We caught nearly 2-2.5 tons of fish. We usually catch grey mullet every year, but this year was the first time we caught so many grey mullet.
