The Third Egyptian International Conference on Palm Trees, organized by the Scientific Association of Palm Trees at the Agricultural Research Center and the International Dates Council, concluded in Hurghada with discussions on addressing challenges and finding solutions in the palm tree industry. The conference, attended by experts from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, and Turkey, focused on strategies to enhance date palm and date production, such as combating climate change, improving water and soil management, and utilizing modern technologies. Other key areas discussed included increasing export earnings by improving quality and establishing cooling points, converting the central laboratory for palm research into an institute, and signing a cooperation protocol between the International Date Council and the Central Palm Laboratory.
