The International Grains Council forecasts a decrease in global wheat production for the 2023/24 marketing year due to reduced production in Russia, Ukraine, Australia, and Kazakhstan. The most significant decrease is in Russia, with a drop of 12.6 million tons, despite being the third largest historical result. In contrast, the United States is expected to see an increase in wheat production and export potential. The European Union's wheat production is also expected to increase, with improved agrometeorological conditions. The International Grains Council also forecasts an optimistic corn production in the EU and the United States for the 2023/24 marketing year.
