In November 2024, Vietnam exported 15,948 tons of pepper, with a total export turnover of 106.5 million USD, marking a decrease of 13.8% and 21.4% from October and the same period in 2023, respectively. The average export price of black and white pepper increased compared to October 2024. From January to November 2024, Vietnam exported 235,335 tons of pepper, with a total export turnover of over 1.217 billion USD, a 46.9% increase from the same period in 2023. The United States is the largest market for Vietnamese pepper. The high export price has also increased pepper export turnover to other markets. Vietnam currently has about 115,000 hectares of pepper growing area, and pepper farmers are increasingly aware of sustainable cultivation measures.
