The article highlights a decrease in egg prices for consumption in Bulgaria since the start of 2021, with February's average price being the lowest in the European Union (EU-27). Despite this, there has been a slight annual increase of 1.2% in egg prices. On the other hand, the price of whole chickens in Bulgaria has seen a significant rise of 10.5% in February 2021 compared to the previous month. Although the European average price also increased, it was by a smaller margin. The prices of eggs and chickens in different European countries are compared, showing varying price ranges across the EU-27 and Bulgaria.
