Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Maxim Titov, has written to Russian Railways regarding the delivery of empty railcars to the Novosibirsk Region due to a shortage, impacting agricultural exports. As of November 7, 26,975 tons of grain have been shipped out of a total agricultural cargo of 68 thousand tons. The Novosibirsk region has 924 thousand tons of grain in elevators, with 524 thousand tons being commercial. The minister is also in the process of assessing the crop, which makes up 300 thousand tons out of 2.5 million tons, with most being grade 4 and 5. The region is looking to sell sprouted grain to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan, despite the unprofitable export prices due to transportation tariffs in Kazakhstan.
