Taking into account the relatively early ripening and the start of the harvesting campaign, representatives of the Union of Associations of Nut Producers of Moldova assumed that the first large batches of walnut kernels for deliveries to the European Union would be formed on the domestic market of the country no later than mid-October, that is, in terms close to usual. However, according to EastFruit, this did not happen. Market operators note that traders are making small purchases of extra light varietal walnut kernels from specialized farms.
