The sunflower harvest in the Russian Federation reached 13.3 million tons.

According to the analytical center of the company Ruseed, by the end of the second decade of October, sunflower in Russia was harvested from 8.8 million hectares, or 72% of the sown area. The harvest reached 13.3 million tons. The pace of harvesting is stable, especially in the Central and Volga Federal Districts, analysts note. Ingushetia (100%) has completely finished harvesting sunflower, and work is nearing completion in Adygea (96%), Krasnodar Krai (94%), Crimea, and the Kherson region (both 93%). The regions leading in yield are Vladimir (37.5 tons/ha), Nizhny Novgorod (31.1 tons/ha), Ryazan (27.2 tons/ha), Oryol (26.4 tons/ha), and Kursk (25.1 tons/ha) regions. Analysts noted a significant increase in yield compared to last year in Omsk (+37%) and Kurgan (+20%) regions, Adygea (+17%), Chechnya (+16%), and Bashkortostan (+13%).
