According to the analytical center of the company Ruseed, by the end of the second decade of October, sunflower was harvested from 8.8 million hectares, or 72% of the sown area. The harvest reached 13.3 million tons—1.3 million tons less than the previous year. Harvesting rates are stable, especially in the Central and Volga Federal Districts, analysts note. Ingushetia has completed sunflower harvesting (100%), and work is nearing completion in Adygea (96%), Krasnodar Krai (94%), Crimea, and Kherson region (both 93%). The leading regions in terms of yield were Vladimir (37.5 tons/ha), Nizhny Novgorod (31.1 tons/ha), Ryazan (27.2 tons/ha), Oryol (26.4 tons/ha), and Kursk (25.1 tons/ha) regions. Analysts noted a significant increase in yield compared to the previous year in Omsk (+37%) and Kurgan (+20%) regions, Adygea (+17%), Chechnya (+16%), and Bashkortostan (+13%).
