The Russian Union of Grain Exporters has lowered its forecast for this year's wheat exports by 14.7% to 40 million tons, and corn exports by 5.7% to 5 million tons, while barley exports remain unchanged. The total grain export forecast is 9.5% lower, at 53.5 million tons. The harvest estimate is also down by 7%, with wheat making up the majority of the crop. The Ministry of Agriculture forecasts a grain harvest of 132 million tons, including 85-86 million tons of wheat. Since the start of 2024, phytosanitary certificates for the export of 40.2 million tons of grain and its processing products have been issued, marking a 16% increase from the same period in 2023. The main recipients of Russian grain include Vietnam, Indonesia, and Jordan.
