In the first quarter of 2021, Peruvian agricultural exports saw a 13.3% increase compared to the same period in 2020, totaling US $ 1,806 million, as reported by ComexPerú. This growth was predominantly driven by agricultural and agro-industrial products, which accounted for 13.6% of the total. The United States was the leading destination for these exports, followed by the Netherlands and Spain. Maritime transport was the primary method of shipping, with fresh grapes, mangoes, and avocados being the main products. Traditional agricultural products, such as coffee and sugar, were exported to Colombia, the United States, and Germany, among other countries. Non-traditional agricultural products like fresh grapes, mangoes, avocados, and blueberries were largely exported to the United States and the Netherlands.
