The USDA's September report reveals a reduction in the global sunflower harvest forecast to 50.553 million tons, a decrease from the previous month's estimate. The U.S. sunflower harvest forecast has been lowered to 12.5 million tons, down by 1 million tons from August. Despite this, the oil export forecast remains steady at 230,000 tons. In Ukraine, sunflower oil production for 2024/25 is projected at 5.226 million tons, with 4.825 million tons expected for export. Additionally, meal production is forecasted at 5.018 million tons, with 3.925 million tons for export. Overall, global forecasts for sunflower oil and meal production have also seen declines.
