The world market price of white sugar has risen

The average world market price of white sugar in September 2023 was EUR 685/ton, almost 8 percent higher than in August. On the London Mercantile Exchange (LIFFE), the front-month quote for white sugar dropped from 741 dollars (USD)/ton on November 22, with fluctuations, to 697 dollars/ton on December 1. The front-month quotation of raw sugar started at 612 dollars/ton at the beginning of the examined period, and then settled at 553 dollars/ton by the end of the period.
