The world's first: Chile is about to achieve paperless quarantine for fruit exports to China.

According to the Chilean website "reporteagricola," the Ecert system is being used to replace traditional paper phytosanitary certificates, aiming to simplify the document issuance and delivery process and enhance the efficiency of goods clearance. From August to October this year, the system has been piloted in four major ports: Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenzhen in Guangdong, and Guangzhou, with good operational results. The throughput of these four ports accounts for approximately 60% of the total Chilean fruit exports to China. As the electronic certificate support system is currently being upgraded, the originally planned pilot period will be extended to November, with the system expected to fully implement electronic certification in December.
