Following the reduction of VAT on olive oil to 0% by the Government of Spain, and the changes in its price, Europages has carried out an analysis of EVOO prices in European supermarkets and has examined its global demand through its B2B supplier platform. The study reveals that the cheapest EVOO in Europe is not found in Spain, but in the Aldi supermarket in Ireland, with a price of 5.49 euros per liter, almost half the price of the cheapest in Spanish supermarkets.
