On June 12, the Livestock Cooperative Union will inaugurate the country's first "cooperative feedlot". Uncoga is a second-degree cooperative that brings together nine base entities from Santa Fe and eastern Córdoba. "The decision was made to generate a feedlot that will be supplied with Holstein calves (from regional dairy farms). It will be the first cooperative feedlot in the country," said Raúl Cagliero, director of Sodecar, a Cycle 2 slaughterhouse, also affiliated with Uncoga, and president of the Santa Fe Slaughterhouse Chamber (Cafrisa).
