Following the awarding of the GEF Traceability project "The digital revolution of seafood products from Chile, Peru, and Ecuador," led in our country by the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca), a milestone was reached with the approval of the design of the national action plan that will be presented for the allocation of resources by the international fund. At the end of 2024, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) approved the project presented jointly by Chile, Peru, and Ecuador to strengthen the traceability of fishery resources, after which a series of workshops were developed during 2025 to collaboratively design the national action plan.
