The article introduces the gooseneck snail, also known as the "devil's finger" or "dragon claw snail," a rare and expensive seafood product famous for its unique shape and delicious taste. Found in coral reefs and coastal rocks, these snails are challenging to harvest due to their sticky mucus and the dangerous locations they inhabit. Despite the risks and the high cost, which can reach up to 8 million VND/kg in Vietnam, the snails are highly sought-after in countries like Spain, Portugal, Canada, and China. The meat is not only sweet and refreshing but also considered a delicacy with a limited supply, making it a valuable addition to culinary traditions and income sources for fishermen, especially in Vietnam.
